Q is for Quiet

This week on the Building Championship Mindsets podcast, Dr. Selking discusses the importance of quietness in our lives and how it can serve as both a refueling strategy and a decision-making strategy. When we find quiet spaces and quiet time to process information, discern, and make decisions that are aligned with our beliefs, identity, and goals, we can be more in tune with ourselves. Dr. Selking also shares why the amount of quiet time needed can vary for each individual, and why it is important to understand one's own processing time.

Championship Mindset Training | Midweek Mental Rep

Cultivate an effective rhythm of quietness in your life, one that allows you to refuel through the quiet periods that you have throughout the day, throughout the week, throughout the month, and throughout the year. Use this as a decision-making strategy to help you evaluate, discern, and decide based on your beliefs, your identity, and your goals.

  • “We need to find a quiet space and quiet time as individuals to process so that we can discern and decide, again, based on our beliefs, based on our identity, and based on our goals." -Dr. Amber Selking [06:20]

  • “Noise creates illusions, but quietness can bring you truth that becomes a solid foundation that you can build your life and relationships upon moving forward.” -Dr. Amber Selking [11:00]
